Welcome to Nipa Hungary!

Nipa is a special Argentine footwear brand that relaunched in Hungary in 2025. We can proudly say that in Europe this exclusive brand is only available in Mallorca and here in Hungary.

The history of Nipa

The history of espadrilles (or alpargatas) dates back to the 1800s, when rural workers began making these comfortable footwear from fibers and natural materials. Nipa carries on this tradition, but in a modern form: all our shoes are traditionally handmade in Argentina.

We first encountered the Nipa brand a few years ago, and in 2025 we managed to reach an agreement with the previous owner to make these special footwear available in Hungary again, from which we already have sandals and slippers in addition to various shoes. Since then, we have been continuously working on expanding our range - soon not only shoes that can be used from spring to autumn, but also sneakers and boots will appear in the range!
